Some doctors have given dexamethasone suspensions by adding dexamethasone phosphate injection to distilled water and cherry-flavored syrup or have masked the flavor of the IV preparation by following oral administration with juice or a popsicle.
Ideally the manufacturer or a drug information service should be contacted for advice.
There is an oral dexamethasone 1.5mg tablet available.
