Firmagon (Degarelix) is a man-made form of a protein that reduces the amount of certain hormones in the body, including testosterone.
Studies have shown that too few prostate cancer patients receive bone strengthening medication, this would lead to back and other pain.I do not know if this is why you take it,but i hope that this will explain some of your concerns.
For your pain there are several types of medications you could try, such as: NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, some antiseizure meds because they can help stop spasms and there's also medication for nerve pain (like Gabapentin). If you haven't already tried some of these you may consider doing so.
Water physical therapy can also be helpful as it's very gentle on the body but helps you move more than you may otherwise be capable of.
