I am on elavil for difficulty sleeping. I have fibromyalgia. I also take lyrica and wellbutrin. I looked on drugs.com for details about elavil, and the word "discontinued" is printed in red over the information.

My friend Wildcatvet, has offered good advice.
Here is where we get into the big bucks.
Initially. The money is used to develop a drug "from scratch". They have to have it fully developed with all the side effects tested and packaging ready to go.
They have a period of ?years before the patent is up. R & D can be up to six years alone. This uis when you will find the wild names.
Once the patent is up, the pharmas rush to try to the DEA with their comparable prescription. They name will change to a generic form.
Good luck you
