... my insurance the cost of this medicine for 1 month is $390.00 Is there any financial help out there for me? i am taking this medication for Crohn's disease. Is there another medication that is comparable that would be less expensive? At this time not sure how my doctor will have me on this medication, but it is very costly for me.
Shire has a patient assistance program, it takes about 10 minutes to enroll and will save you on your out of pocket cost of Lialda.
If you are already using that and your out of pocket is still $390, there is a program called Prescription Hope, you need to apply, but can do it online and they typically reply within 24 hours. If you qualify, you'll receive your medication directly from Shire for $35 month. Good luck!
Shire has an assistants program but I tried for 3 months to fax my information and they said never received anything. They have no mailing address and said they have only 1 fax machine so your fax may never get thru with all the other faxes.
No discount card for Medicare users. Pretty said if you ask me. So like many people on Medicare I have to pick what medications I can afford and suffer with the rest.
