Prescribed indocin controls the pain, but it is taking longer and longer to recover. Currently on .5 x 3 for about 10 days now. Try to ween a couple of times, but soreness/tenderness returns. Is it normal for gout attack to last this long?
My husband is 30 years old hes always in pain but a gout attac last weeks he cant walk has not been able to for about 3 weeks just when he thinks hes getting better we go swimming or a date night and it flairs up again hes not a diabedic i read the diet he doesnt drink alcohol allopuinal gives him gout attacs and he only drinks coolaid soda and lots of water we have four boys between the ages of 1-10 im stressed out because im doing it all by my self i just want him to be ok he thinks it will kill him i dont know what to do
