I had 2 stents placed on circumflex coronary artery. Taking Plavix, PCP told me I should also be on B blocker?
You are taking the Plavix because of the stents because it is an anti-platelet and stops clots from forming on your stents. Beta blockers work in a very different way. People who have blockages in their circumflex suffer with a condition called A-fib, the beta blocker stop the contractions of the heart and easy the pain from it by stabilizing the heart beat.
