are methodone and percocet the the same class type of drug? And if they are what class is that? Finally if I took 3 of my methodone pills will it show up any different than if I took my percocet.
From my knowledge, I am in a methadone treatment program, methadone will show as methadone, not to be included as any other opioid. Your percocet will show as an illegal opioid unless you have a ex for it... not likely if you get your methadone from a treatment program. Not good news... (should say rx)
They will show up differently, the mail off to a lab drug tests are the most specific. Pain Management doctors and Methadone/Suboxone clinics tend to use the most specific drug tests, even their quickie test are very sensitive. These meds are not usually prescribed to the same person as they can cause respiratory failure if used together and methadone will block the percocet high, even though the high it blocked, you can still OD. Please be careful mixing methadone with any other medication that would have a sedative effect. Methadone is a long acting pain med, stays in the brain relieving pain longer than most other pain medications.
hi ollie101,if your on percs they will come up opiates, the methadone will come up as methadone.using when your on a clinic will get you kicked off. and if you are taking methadone every couple days you run the risk of getting hooked it stays in you for 5-9 days so even if you only do it 1 or 2 times a week it never really comes out of your body.if your abusing methadone and you get a habit then you know real pain and for months at a time...
