Living in New York City on Medicare with Health first, Would I need to call the Health care providers that don't know much abt lupus or anything else for that matter. What or how would be the best way to find the best cure for my sle. Any help offered or any info would be greatly appreciated. Thx again
Well first off there's not a cure for SLE, but patient education can help you to reduce flares and learn how to live through your symptoms. Mayo Clinic is a world leader in medical research, people from all over the world will spend weeks or months even in super cold Rochester, Minnesota just to get these doctor's inputs. It doesn't mean there aren't plenty of doctors closer to you who are able to help. Patient education and realistic expectations are a huge first step and I'd advise you use the Mayo Clinic information as well as other reputable medical organizations. Best wishes.
