Is there an improvement over Prozac as an ISSD ( spelling)?
Not sure what you mean by an improvement? Improvement over what? If they change the formula for Prozac it cannot be called Prozac anymore. There are newer SSRI antidepressants out on the market now. That is not to say one is better than an another.
It is a SSRI, mostly hits your serotonin receptors. Antidepressants work differently for everyone. We all have different chemistry. Prozac may work well for one person but not another. Some people swear by it others dislike it, usually due to side effects or it just does not work.
Unfortunately you have to try it to find out and be patient with the start up it can take 4-8 weeks to have a full therapeutic effect.
Wishing you the Best :)
