Today (October 7) I am experiencing some light bleeding, it is a red to a pink shade, and some cramping. I had sex on September 27th and the condom broke, I took the Plan B pill the next day in the morning. I am not supposed to start my period until the 15th though. Is this from Plan B? Or could I be pregnant?
It could be for either reason. Only a pregnancy test (when you are far enough along to get a reliable result) will tell you.
Plan B works by delaying your ovulation until the sperm leaves your body. If you're already ovulating then it can't do that.
If your periods are regular then you will most likely ovulate around days 12-17 (as a safe estimate).
Hopefully you took Plan B soon enough, but one of the other 2 methods of emergency contraception; either the other emergency pill called Ulipristal Acetate or to have an IUD fitted by a doctor, has more chance of preventing pregnancy if you are close to ovulation.
I recommend doing a pregnancy test even if you think you've got your period.
