I need help choosing a birth control
If it were me, I'd choose, in this order, implanon, nuvaring, mirena. Implanon is there and you can forget about it. It isn't effected by antibiotics. The ring you have to remember to change once a month. Mirena can have some problems with it, like moving where it doesn't belong.
What you need to do is make you a list of pro's and cons for each method and decide which one is best for you. Implanon can move and migrate and it can also encapsulate and have to be surgically removed. It can also cause irregular bleeding (very common). A lot of women like Mirena because it is long term but some women have heavy periods and cramping a lot and it can migrate too. Another complication is tubal pregnancies. Nuva Ring can come out. Many women find they need to remove it for sex because their man can feel it if they leave it in. If you leave it out longer then 3 hours, you lose protection and it is easy to fall asleep after sex and forget it. It can fall out during bowel movements (not common but it can happen) So, you just need to look up all 3 and make you 3 lists of pros and cons then go with what you think is the best method for you.
