My doctor asks me all the time about whether or not I have taken Gabapentin in the past and whether it worked, I tell him yes I have and no it didn't. Now he has prescribed me what he call "a drug similar to Gabapentin, only it is extended release", and I found out it actually IS Gabapentin ER. Is there any logic or reason to believe that an extended release version of the same medicine will work when the IR version did not?
