Is this something you've come across in the course of your training in medical transcription? I am not an expert but a patient on Methotrexate and am taking 15 mg once a week, I've been told its a very strong drug, hence it only needs to be taken once a week.
I know that cancer patients can be given a higher dose of Methotrexate as a chemotherapy drug. However 700 mg does sound very high, and maybe you should check this out.
Best wishes bacterial
