but like a lot of people im worried, about side effects and over all well bieng. I guess im looking for someone to tell me it will be ok. :)
Please check with your doctor first and if you can go without it I would. Some medications do work but I feel you must get to the root of you problems. I did and I found out a lot about myself through talk therapy. My docotr has made a big change in my life. I still have some bad days and some panic attacks but if that happens I just take a xanax and wait it through. I wish you the best of luck and you have to know if it is ok for you. I think if you get through with out a lot of different medications that is better for you. It is scary but you have to try. I think it should be your decision because you know how you feel. Best of luck to you. We have all been though hell and you have to hold on to hope and try hard to believe in your self.
I take an antidepressant along with Abilify and have for years. I'm doing marvelous and fully trust my drug regimen and my doctor. I have also done years of talk therapy to learn to cope with my illness and its symptoms. I wish I could do without the medication but it just doesn't seem possible.
If the doctor thinks the Abilify is necessary to enhance the effects of the antidepressant for your depression or to help control your mania, then give it a try. I have had no ill effects. Read up on it, so you are aware of the side effects, but don't worry about them, they are relatively rare anyway.
I can honestly tell you it will be ok!!
When you go to the doctor just ask him will I have interactions between the two drugs, if he answersyes ask him what the worst could be, I know when you have been through a hard time you just don't feel like you can handle more, but sometimes it is the very things that we have doubts about are the very medications that work the best, You will never know unless you give it a try, look at it this way you can always discontinue the medication if you start to have side effects, it sounds like you have had a lot of experience this time just give it a shot, make a list of all the things that you are afraid of and then ask the doctor, let him know that you have fears it may very well be that he will be able to give you the answers that will put you at ease, you just keep hanging in there this is a site filled with people who care, if you need to talk further you can always write again that is what we are here for,
I have been through panic and depression before so bad i Thought things would never get better, that is when you have to fight harder than you have ever fought before. Remember be sure to ask all the questions about the things that scare you the worst! it is your body so keep fighting and let us know how you are doing
