I take one 4 times a day.
It would probably be easier to answer your question if you had added more information about your condition & pain levels. I take 15mg of oxycodone every 4 hours for my pain. Which means I can take up to 6 a day. I was on them every 6 hours, but most of those type of pain relievers do not hold for 6 hours if you have chrontic pain such as I do. If the pain gets too bad inbetween, the next dose is not likely to work as well. Sometimes I have to write down what time I wake up in the AM so as to remember exactly what time each pill is do through out the day. If you would add more info about your condition & why you take pain pills I think you will get more answers. There are time released meds too for example. ...

I've been taking 15mg oxycodone 3x for several years. My Dr recently raised me to 20mg oxycodone 3x.
