I"m wanting to go into a methadone program because my insurance covers it and doesn't cover suboxone and also I suffer from Chronic pain..Can I do this? And will the switch over be bad?

Switching from suboxone to methadone should not be bad, the bad way is the other way around which is switching from methadone to suboxone. As long as the conversion is done correctly by the doctor, you should not notice any withdrawls and have better pain relief from the methadone.
You can do it..the switch over won't be bad..but I just wanted to warn you... methadone is the devil... seriously... it's the worst, most addictive stuff of them all... people that go to the methadone clinic for opiate dependence come out even more dependent than when they first began... I will never go to a methadone clinic... I will stick with my suboxone, which has kept me clean for 2 months now! Good luck to you! Just be very very careful... you can get really really hooked to that stuff!
