Elevated levels are from Steroid use w/COPD treatment.
If your blood sugar levels are elevated with steroid intake then your doctor needs to check you regularly ... to ensure that you don't have steroid induced diabetes. In terms of when the numbers will come down ... if you are on the steroids long term then the numbers may remain elevated (so check diabetes?). If the steroid is just pulse therapy (for a week or two) then the blood sugars may return to normal a few days after stopping the steroids.
