hi every one its been a long story and a huge battle which i did not think i would get this far , I just wanted to say what a special bunch of people and those who helped in particular know who they are and can hold their heads high that they saved someone from an early grave, and the others were a comfort and looking forward to getting to know them. thank you ! when im back ,will touch base, hope you all continue to find comfort, belonging, fun, friendship and purpose, such high needs and virtues which for me were missing in my life untill i joined and engaged in this group, thank you, thank you . kindest warmest regards richard (cheersrichard)

Hey mate..I joined this site 8 days ago..dont really know your story im 41 male live in chile i was an addict (hardcore drugs) and an acoholic 4 20 years, tried many times to beat it just coudnt didnt have the courage ( I was in love with that life style), lost 2 marriages have 1 ten year old girl in th uk (i lived there ) and one 24 year old son here in chile.
My point is the only one who can really change your life is you ( with the help of therapists and meds since you r going into a clinic referring to the "meds") . I was in rehab 4 times in spychiatric wards didnt do anything 4 me until i found a community by the countryside work half day ..group therapy the other half and no meds i was there for 1 year have been clean for 8 years... I dont know what you r addicted 2 but if i could it so can u!
I Truly wish you the best its very hard but as u must know by now if you have cojones u will get your life back... like i did in that aspect.
I am not familiar with your story, however, I want to commend you for taking the leap and getting the help you need, that is a the beginning of a better life for you, and I will pray for a successful recovery for you, stick with the program no matter how tough it may be. The old saying goes like this, " just when you think you are at the end of your rope", tie a knot in the end and hang tight, instead of hanging yourself and setting yourself up for failure"... You can do this , remain positive as you can, a small set back it just that, a minor set back, hold tough, go for the help as soon as they phone back. Don't look back, look forward, life has so much to offer, and you will one day be one of those people who can help others, and hold your head high, and say to yourself, "I did it", and so can others. You could be a wonderful role model.. I will pray for your success in this, and keep you in my thoughts daily. Best of Luck, Bless you!! And please check back so we all know how you are doing OK!!
Yahoooo! Although a minor glitch in the day, you're still doing it! You've already found the tools to deal with this set back. I will count down the days until I hear from a happier, healthier, YOU. Just remember, you have made some very good friends in a short amount of time. This TOO can be done in your outside, land down under, world. Maybe someday soon you can get back in to your art, no, I mean, ART. I could only imagine how creative you truly are. Don't sweat the small stuff. Thank you for making this weekend very special!
