Yes, I believe the glycerine suppositories are safe. Do not take laxatives tho' unless under the advice of your doctor. They are known to cause premature labor, & we want to keep you & your baby safe. I believe it would also be helpful to take stool softeners also, & drinks lots of water. Avoid caffeine drinks like cola, & coffee & tea as they tend to dehydrate not hydrate your system. Good luck to you & your little one...
I used glycerin suppositories all through my pregnancy. I've had problem with my digestion area for decades and so, for me, it was a no brainer.

Like Mary said, if you want to use a laxative, talk to your doctor and take one that is safe during pregnancy.
Laxatives are dangerous in that it can start contractions prematurely. But the medicine itself will not hurt baby.
Miramax is awesome! Just take a little each day in a glass of water or juice and you should remain pretty regular.
Are you, by chance, taking any iron supplements? Often iron is prescribed due to pregnancy induced anemia. There are specific iron supplements that are kinder to your tummy. Ask you dr about that. Good luck!
