i coughed up yellowish/greenish junk, my nose is running and i feel like i may have a fever, could it just be the weather changing, im in utica,ny and its 83 out which i cant handle the hymidity.
Although I'm not a medical Dr., I was always told that, whenever your mucus is yellow or, particularly green, that it is an infection (or possible virus). I don't think its the weather because your mucus isn't clear. I just returned to CA from St. Paul (~88), and I couldn't handle the humidity either! Yuk! I would have it checked out, particularly if you have a fever. Good luck!
Sounds like you have bronchitis, which may have started as an allergy and as the mucus built up in your lungs, it got infected. Infection in congestion is yellow or green, and the fever sounds like bronchitis. If you have any antibiotics that are yours ( not someone elses in your family as you may be allergic to those) and some advil or tylenol for the fever, that may help you some. It may take a few days. If it were just allergy, what you coughed up would be clear, the discoloration and fever indicate infection. Get some rest and if you have any cough medicine, that might help. If you notice you are getting worse, have trouble breathing, or extreme fatigue, you may have pneumonia, so get to a dr in that case. Hope you feel better.
