I'm currently on 8 pumps per day. Will I get better results changing points of application? Why is it harmful to apply to the genitals?
Androgel (topical testosterone) is absorbed through the skin. It can cause side effects or symptoms of male features in children or woman who come into contact with the medication. For this reason it is best to be applied on upper arms, shoulders, chest or back... areas that are likely to be covered with a tee shirt.
There should not be any significant difference of absorption if you alternate areas of application but you are best to avoid very hairy areas.
It should also not be applied to the genitals for the reason mentioned above but also to because it increases the risk of another side effect called spermatogenesis which can affect semen quality (reduced sperm count) and fertility problems.

I understand androgel can be applied to the shoulders or stomach. Is one area better than the other?
