I stoped getting my period a little over a year ago. I believe I have gotten it maybe 3 times but very light more as if I was spoting. Will I be able to have children??
The most common cause of amenorrhea (no period) is pregnancy. Is there any possibility you may be pregnant?
Other causes of amenorrhea include problems with the reproductive organs or with the glands that help regulate hormone levels. Treatment of the underlying condition often resolves amenorrhea.
You need to see your doctor so that the cause can be determined and treatment begun.
I agree with both the glandular problems (starts with the pituitary gland and its influence on your reproductive organs i.e. uterus and ovaries) and the body fat issue. If you exercise to the extreme and have a low percentage of body fat, that too could cause a disruption of your hormonal feedback system. It is your bodys way to make sure you have enough fat reserves to carry a pregnancy to term.
AGAIN, go see your doctor, the best thing you can do for yourself.
