... pills and I'm deeply afraid of shots. I was thinking about using mirena. Do you all think thus would work for me?
Probably not. They recommend this only for women in monogamous relationships and also for women who've had at least one child. Definitely tell your doctor what you've written here though, and he or she can help you find something that is right for your situation. Best of luck!
You should talk with your doctor about using Mirena. The most important thing to remember about Mirena, as well as any other medication, is that there are certain side effects. Everyone is different and you may have no problems at all using Mirena. The good news is if you do not like using Mirena it can be removed. Also, I would caution you that Mirena is meant to be used by women in mutually monogamous relationships, meaning that both people are being faithful (good luck with that these days girl! lol). This is due to an increased risk of infection. Anyway, I hope this helps and that all goes well for you!
Nuva Ring is highly recommended, i have been using the Nuva Ring for 5 months and it is the best birth control i have ever taken. I have a friend who has been on it for about 4 years and there has not been one problem. Just being on this site i have seen at least 10 people with problems from Mirena. And i have never heard one person tell me that they like being on the pill and just about every other birth control has caused problems. I would suggest doing the Nuva Ring, a small ring that is inserted yourself into your vagina and you keep it there for 3 weeks then take it out until your period has come and gone.. SUPER SIMPLE. I would recommend talking to your doctor about Nuva Ring.. Good Luck
