If you take an ambien and wait to lay down because you get too busy but lay down and are now wide awake is it okay to take another one. and stay laying down?
Some considerations for people taking Ambien include:
The medication should be taken right before you go to bed.
Ambien dosage should be taken without food.
Ambien works quickly; please ensure that you are ready for sleep before taking it. Do not take the drug before driving or performing any tasks that require concentration.
In general, Ambien is used for only one to two days. It should not be used for more than one to two weeks. If you are still having trouble sleeping after this time, please talk to the doc who prescribed the med.
Please do not take a double dose, take care, be well & safe!
