Would there be such a need for drugs, doctors, or meds? I personally believe that a dietician, in many ways, is more important than a doctor. If people would just live a healthy lifestyle, and avoid Unhealthy foods, especially transfats, there would not be such a need for doctors and drugs..simply put, people would not be as sick. I believe that people are not living longer, rather just being kept alive longer.
I guess you better start prayin' that you dont get a melanoma from the sun & hence skin cancer... Thats from a natural source... and if you do... pray your ass off that there is a med to help you stay alive...
Because it did not help my brother in law... who died last year from it ... and thank god there were meds to help his pain and depression... oh yeah... he did the ironman 3 times... and was very athletic, with an incredible food balance. But mother nature took him anyway. And for the record... the most death on earth, is from mosquito bites..and their disease... thank god for the meds we have here to save many of those folks!
Its a 2 way street dude... people are living much, much longer than 50 years ago... simple because ot the marvels of medicine... and I myself am still alive because I beat BACTERIAL pneumonia (caused form agriculture dust in California) which almost killed me 5 years ago... with the meds and help of the ICU!!
So think about it... you are alive also because of modern day science and medications... or would like a dose of POLIO???
Everything... nature or medicine, has to be used and cared for properly, and not abused... then we can benefit substancially in either case!
All the best to your health !
Bigrob I'm sorry but I disagree as well.
I had rhematic fer as a kid was told id be dead r in a wheel chair by 21yrs old I didn't believe that I exerccised all my life I walked 22 mile marathoons twice then I suffered through endometriosis I won't even get to far into my 8 surgerys I had but one of which a cyst explode inside of my ovary thank God for that surgery and then diagnosed after that with ms I am thankful everyday for the meds and drs for helping me through everyday to be able too walk and d things with my kids to be happy not depressed and as I said walk and sometimes even play with them considering I was 22 when I had my first and 24 when I had my second without medication and drs they wouldn't be here neither would I be able to cnsidering my chance of being dead or in a wheellchair in which I am not either the day will come for both I'm sure but as long as the drs and meds are helping me enjoy one more day with them ill take my chances with them. Your statement on trans fats my great gran lived t be 102 she ate what she wanted back in the day lard and butter went good in all cooking I don't eat unhealthy like that I have seen dieticians and I excercise often when I was diagnsed with ms I sstocked shelves in a grocery store 9 hrs a night walkings and putting an average f 400 cases of groceried on the shelves un load trucks. Trust me I wasn't lazy sitting around and eating. So I don't know why you are so angry with the medical proffessin or with meds but I think you should talk to the people on this site to understand what we all go through everyday and maybe we can help you too! The day may come when something terrible like this happens to you please seek help we may not live t be 100 but we do treasure everyday we have! Please seek help when you need it here is a good place to start to help figure out where. If ever need to talk please post but nt be critical oof us wh need help jaime }litlmommag
Hi Bigrobkerr. Fair question. Interesting, for you certainly will get responses, in as much as its been asked, debated, turned round and about for some years now. I agree, in regards to diet, and excercise, they play a major role. Having said that, its the times we live in. Not taking anything away from your point. When I was a youngster, walking was a major form of transportation. Today, mom and pop drive the kids to this, that, and the other. Advertising, the fast food outlets, a major player. I mean, talking about a "fat tax" on junk food. Advertising is the most powerfull way to get people hooked on a certain product. Pizza and football... beer and hockey... cola and baseball, before you know it, the two are one and the same. And they're not. Simply not true. Its what the corporate mind wants you to believe. But it sells. What does a car have to do with a stereo typed blonde in a two piece bathing suit have to do with a car. Car gets you from point a to point b.
I agree, that if we ate healthier, we'd feel better, and by feeling better, we'd become more active. And that would most probaly mean less trips to the doctors office and pharmacies. :-0) best wishes to you.
this is my answer to u: I WISH U HAVE MY PAIN FOR AT LEAST ONE HOUR in your ignorant life. Maybe, just maybe then u might realize that some pains and dessorders associated with nerve pain have nothing to do with your theory and that is why I do not accept your fake appollogy and nor shall the rest of people that come here to find help and answers not some more BS from u after they heard it all... from numerous doctors... so, u stay away from giving advice, not here, anyway
