Pulled over by police, only thing I have been on is suboxone and anti drepression medicine, Lexapro. Police are saying several opiates showed up and NO suboxone. How is that???
Get a lawyer. Police do lie. When I was a young girl, I was with a friend sitting in a parking lot in a small town near where her and I lived. Were were not doing anything other than loitering, maybe. All of a sudden 5 police cars pull up and block us in and told us to get out of the car. We did, we were a couple of scared little girls, and they went on to search the car. This was back in the days when you still had to have probable cause for searching a vehicle. On the police report they wrote that they saw a "vegetable like substance rolled in a cigarette paper" on her dashboard, meaning that they saw a marijuana joint. There wasnt a whiff of pot in her car or anywhere within a 100 feet or maybe more!!! I mean, are you kidding me? Even if we had had a joint we wouldnt have been stupid enough to leave it on the dashboard!! They needed probable cause so they just made one up. Ever since then I've lost a lot of respect for the police. There have been other instances since then, that I will not go into, that have further eroded my confidence in the police. Bottom line, there are many who are very dishonest, to say the least. They will bend the laws in their favor when it suits them to and who can contest it?? It is your word against theirs and who do you think the judge will believe? The only thing you can do is to get a lawyer to fight for you. Its all a game to bring in money, anyway. You pay a lawyer, then he gets your sentence reduced and you pay money to the city, county or state-whoever pulled you over- and they are all happy at your expense. I know I sound very cynical but I have had plenty of reasons to be because I have seen them lie, first hand, more than once!! Hopefully a lawyer can get your urine screen and hopefully prove that you didnt have any drugs in your system, but really, did you see them actually perform the screen? They could have used someone elses urine or any number of other underhanded crap to give them some kind of evidence to have reason to sock it to you! The only real defense you will have is to get yourself a good lawyer! I feel for you and hope that everything comes out ok for you in the end but you can count on being out a good amount of cash when all is said and done, I'm afraid!
