Also, is sub as harmful to my body as opiates?
If you're not pregnant yet, I would get off of the suboxone first. I'll tell you what I did when I was using while pregnant. I called the march of dimes to find out if there was any known side effects. That was not a your typical medication and I don't want to go into what it was but I couldn't sleep without it and I was terrified what I would do to my child. The official suboxone website has an answer that appears to give the go ahead, but right now, I'm withdrawing from the drug and I'm miserable and I would put only you and not your baby through that too. Also if you do call the March of Dimes they will follow up and ask for your APGAR scores after the baby is born so they can give more information to other people, like you, who don't know the answer. And Healthy Start will probably come out to see you and try to get you to get into detox if already pregnant.
my best friend has been on suboxone for over a year and last week gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl... no complications. its much less harmful to the fetus than opiates. i gave birth on methadone and my daughter is now a happy healthy 5 yr old. i just started sub. in may and i love it
