... was doing fine until I got a sinus infection and possibly the flu. Anyway here I am 36 days later still feeling really bad! I thought I was in wd's but when I've tried to take more I get no relief. The docs say that I have a viral infection and that it will go away on it's own, but whatever is going on here is having an affect on my suboxone cause Iike I said I feel worse when I take more. Does anyone have any ideas at what's going on here? Am I in wd's or could I have a bad flu, mono (doc said I tested negative... but who knows) or something else?
If I were in wd's and took more suboxone wouldn't I feel better? I am down to two crumbs a day, and?

Oh and I want to say that I've been to the doc several times and they have taken tests but say everything comes up clear. I am so confused. HELP if you able!
Hey Stop, google the COWS sheet, it stands for Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale and take it or at least look it over. It is a quiz that helps the doctor determine if you are in withdrawal ( it lists all major symptoms) and how far. You actually should have been given this quiz when you were started on suboxone. If you only have one or 2 symptoms of withdrawal, and not 8 or 9 of them, you likely are NOT in withdrawal. I have had some sort of viral bug that sounds alot like what you are describing and I had it for nearly a month. Not sure what it was, I suspected pneumonia from the fatigue and coughing. Do get more rest, drink a bit more fluid, and if you can, walk for about 10 minutes per day. It does help tell the body to kick itself into high gear and it is the thing that seemed to pull me out of the virus's hold.It went away after about 3 and 1/2 weeks after I started back walking. Hope you feel better soon.
Dear Stopthepain, My heart goes out to you! I think it's wonderful that you are down to crumbs a day and if this is a viral infection that it goes away very soon. I can't imagine trying to take care of two young children while feeling like this. I can barely take care of my animals or myself. What do you feel like? When you say you feel sick, what are your worst symptoms? I would hate for you to start taking more suboxone if this is not withdrawal and if it isn't you should be feeling better very soon. 36 days is really unbelievable for a viral infection. Do you feel nauseous? I wish I knew what to say to help you or make you feel better. I think that this will pass and you will be feeling better very soon. Your boys are very lucky to have such a strong loving mother!!! Please keep me updated. I'd love to hear if you went back to the doctor or if you are feeling better or even worse. You are in my thoughts and prayers!!! Hang in there my friend:) May GOD Bless you. When this is all over you will feel so relieved and even stronger that you made it through and I know you will!!! Hugs to you!!! Laura xo
