You have to be taking 30 mgs or less of the methadone and be in sufficient withdrawals ( around 72 hours after last dose of methadone) before taking the Suboxone. It really is best to be under a doctor's care before transitioning from Methadone to Suboxone. If you have been on the Methadone for a while and take the Suboxone too soon, you can cause precipitated withdrawals.
