The white pills are a placebo, or a "sugar pill." That means that there is no medicine in them. Birth control pills sometimes mess up a woman's period cycle, but for most woman they regulate it. My period gets all whacked out when I'm on the pill, but that may not be the case for you. Your best bet is to take a pregnancy test, and talk to your doctor about possible causes and other birth control options.
