Their doctor states that Trazadone, Prozac and Methocarbamol and advil/algvg are not addictive or trigger drugs. Should this person contiinue while going through there detox?
My question is, why use Methocarbamol? Does he have pain? This can be addictive. Continue going through detox. It is better than what he had. There is a web site that has a 12 step on line blog that might help him."Steps Without Stigma"
He is correct in my opinion. Methocarbamol you should be careful with because it can be addicting. But, I find it to be the lesser of all evil muscle relaxer drugs. Prozac is also another one but on a different level. Anti-depression drugs have a real need for some people. I take it myself. You can always decrease dosages with your doctors help on any medication you take. I would not recommend doing this without your doctors help. As far as Trazadone, I have no idea what or why this drug is used so I can't give an opinion one way or the other. I would just be open and honest and tell your doctor your fears and needs and work together to develop a program that works for you. Best of Luck..kimmie1
