Happy early Birthday to you : ) I am sorry to hear that you're depressed. If you can drive or have friends who could bring you to get checked out by your doc for your symptoms, I don't see why you couldn't see a doc without your Father knowing... Although some may say you have to be 18. I don't know for sure. Maybe you can look around online for local community centers for teenagers who need help with various problems and go from there. I don't know where you live, but where I live there's a number you can call called "first call for help". Maybe check online for this, or like i said, some type of local community help for teenagers, who need help but don't want their parents involved.
Best wishes to you, I hope you find the help you need!
Have a good day, or night. :)
any really good doctor won't mention anything to anyone. If the doctor was best friends with someone in your family, they might. My daughters doctor wouldn't even give me results or her blood test and she wanted him too. She didn't want to deal with it and she was 15 and that was alabama.
You would not need to worry because there is a law known as HIPPA (Health Information Patient Portability and Accountability). This FEDERAL law makes it illegal for any hospital or doctor to discuss patient information with ANYBODY not authorized by the patient-including other medical personnel who do not have a need to know the information. It is a REALLY big deal if any hospital personnel break this law and there are SERIOUS consequences for people who do. I'd say you're safe to see the doctor and I think you should if you are that worried about having depression. Good luck and God bless. Hope this helps ease your mind.
