iv had a swollen tooth for about a week i cant open my mouth at all i got told to put a aspirin on the tooth but i dont have any wondering if ibuprofen wud work just as good as aspirin??
Personally, I think it works better. You can also get ibuprophen in a fast release gel capsule that will help faster. Both are anti inflammatory (NSAID) medications. Just be careful about your tummy. If you have an ulcer or gastritis or anything of the like, it can further upset those conditions or cause them with high doses over time. My doctor told me I could take 4 of the 200 mg ibuprophens about every 6 hours. Just make sure to be careful with your tummy, eat a little something with each dose even a couple crackers and drink plenty of fluids. I wish you health and fast healing.
