I am anticipating a reverse total shoulder surgery in 4weeks. I take Boniva for osteoporosis after having a spinal fracture. Is it recommended to stop this medication before the surgery? If so, how soon before the surgery is it safe to give my monthly oral dose? And then, when is this recommended to restart after surgery? Or am I thinking of this wrong and is this drug good to be on when bone surgery is being performed? Thanks for your advice!
