I would like info from anyone on the long use of baraclude(entecavir) I have been over 5 years. I been on this med. over 5 years would like to know i am not alone like i feel
I've been on baraclude 0.5mg (the brand name) for 4-5 years I haven't had any known issues so far, due to it. So far it's just doing what it's supposed to do. My blood work looks good. My doctor says I'm doing better then expected, but I was diagnosed at 34 and can only speak for myself. I don't know anyone else with hep-b that has some cirosis on liver. My doc says if I take care of myself and watch what I eat ( low sodium), I should not need a liver transplant for 20-25 years.I can't say I adhere to that completely, I do indulge myself with foods I probably should not have, but I don't drink any alcohol, I do smoke about a half a pack a day. I am not overweight. I do need to have a perecentheces done every six months or so to drain my abdomen of fluid, and take 3 different water pills daily including Lasex, misiprostol, and aldactone to help with the water retention.
Hope this is helpfull. Greg K
