Cefuroxime is in a group of drugs called cephalosporin antibiotics.
Peak blood levels are recorded around 2 to 3 hours after taking a dose.
The time it takes for you to feel the effects will depend on several factors including the severity of infection, your general health,and the type of antibiotic.
Generally you should allow at least 2 to 4 days for the antibiotics to produce noticeable effects. Talk to your doctor if you are not feeling any signs of improvement.
