I am on 26mg of methadone and I have been feeling really depressed and angry most times for no reason.I was wondering if i should talk to my doctor about getting on an anti-depressant medicine. I am not sure if the two mix well and I dont want to hurt myself and find out the hard way. What are your opinions on this matter, any feedback will help! Thanks.
Hellolizcass81. I did some reading up on your question and not being a doctor, but as I said, researching, its hard not to find a antidepressant that doesn't interact in some way, and all on the side of caution, with methadone. Its kind of like that, sad to say. There are some that are to be avoided, and some that if you were to take them, to be vigilant, keeping an eye out for yourself. I suppose your doctor will be the one making the final decison, and as you said, better to be on the side of safety. Drug interactions can be nasty to say the least. Very best to you,
