I was taking lortabs throughout my pregnancy and to be honest was taking way to many it started out me only taking them as prescribed and has ended up with me taking anywhere from 4-7 at a time I had my baby a month and a half ago and he is so fussy im almost positive he is experiencing withdraw from the prescription. He is very jumpy and shakes his arms real bad when hes aggitated a friend said this is called tremors. I am breastfeeding and still taking the presription but trying to stop by using subutex. Is the subutex transmitted to my baby through my milk? and is it safe? how do I comfort my baby? and how do i safely come off the lortab without him suffering for my choices... feeling so guilty!
I was taking lortabs throughout my pregnancy..baby going through possible withdraw... please help!?

is subutex a safe way for me and my baby to stop taking lortab? and im wondering if subutex is through my milk so my baby is not experiencing sudden cutoff from lortab since im tryin not to take them anymore
You need to check this out with your Subutex doctor. Your baby was likely addicted but after a month and a half you would start to wonder if there is something wrong.
Unless you have been taking hydrocodone for years then you need to bite the bullet and get into a rehab. Suboxone is way to strong and you are going to end up with a major addiction.
Whether or not the drugs are transmitted isn't the point. The baby needs a real mother not an addicted one... Dave
