... As a result, my withdrawls are scary. My heart actually hurts! my muscles and insides wanna jump through my skin. what is my body going through right now? I didnt know what else to do except take percs. So, Id figured I take one perc ten a day (half at a time)till i get off this. I need good and bad responses
Imagine the suboxone as a huge molecule, because it is, it needs all the room on the receptor site, that is why precip will occur if opiate is in the brain when you start subs. Now, imagine the percs you are thinking of taking as being a speck on the molecule, that is how your brain will interpret the perc. You can try doing this, but it almost always leads to relapse as your brain is used to a long acting opiate now. The perc might help for an hour, then you will start feeling withdrawal again. It would be better if you did taper off the suboxone. Since you are on a fairly low dose of subs, go to the suboxone.com webpage and open the distance you are willing to travel up, from 20 to 100 and see if that opens up any new offices. You sound like you know to check prices, maybe you could even get your old drs records so you can prove you have already done an induction. And yes, you are in withdrawal. You could also try sticking it out and ask a local doctor for some clonidine and some methacarbomal, clondine treats the rls, anxiety and insomnia, and methacarbomal treats tummy issues. Sounds like you would only need the clonidine. I wish I could tell you your idea would work, but I have seen multiple people try it, and every single one of the relapsed.
I don't recommend going back to the opiates like percs. It will lead you down a path that will only end in relapse. If you can't find or afford a new doctor, then you will be sick for awhile but will recover. Suboxone stays in the system for 3 to 5 days so the withdrawals will be the worst around that time and then will gradually get better. So hang in there, get some exercise like Patti suggested and try a hot bath to relieve the stress and restless body symptoms.
If you still have percs around the house, get rid of them. Changing playmates and playgrounds is critical to your recovery. Were you able to get any addiction's counseling before you moved? May want to check into that so to continue to learn about the tools necessary to stay clean. Narcotics Anonymous (NA) or Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) are free meetings where you can find the tools for staying clean and get support from recovering people. You can google each and find meetings near your location. Just a thought.
