... bad situation happened. Fast forward 6 more months. Has anyone gone back to paxil effectively? I have tried the other ssri's. No good
in my opinion, it is a good thing that you have stopped Paxil after all those years of using it.You took it ,in the first place,to cure your anxiety;but it doesn't seem to have done the job, which is not right for the manufacturer to claim that it really cures anxiety.Eventhough you are not generous with your answer, I think I can guess that you tried to go back on Paxil for two or three times in order to gain back the effect you once had and liked, esp.after trying several meds in which you found none of them of any comparison to the once used to be the real Paxil. This could be a sign of dependence and it isn't uncommon with most psychoactive drugs and it is easliy manifested in the extent of tolerability, for it is able to reduce much of the med effect, this is expected to happen.Unless you did that on your own, your unwise doctor must have not let you go on using the same drug for years without switching your med every 3years maximum ,for some period of time before putting you back on the1suggested med.In that way addiction, tolerence, and abuse can be avoided. However, your complain could be just from the withdrawal, which, paroxetine "Paxil" notoriously is known to have most severe ones. There are antidepressants that have good results on many patients with much lesser withdrawals than Paxil. In your case,I,m almost sure it is the withdrawal that is causing your panic attack and anxiety worsen.Paxil has potent SSRI effect and therefore has potent withdrawal. And that's why you're wondering if anyone out there has had gained back benefit from restarting using Paxil because you think and believe only Paxil work.Bear in mind, more potency doesn't mean more good result. You definitely NEED to see a good Psychaiatrist. He or she knows how to solve this problem, and sometimes they give benzos together at the initial treatments to cope with any aggravation of the new drug or from the negatives result of the prior ones. . .
