... anymore so the doctor switched me to oxycodone 10/325. that worked better for about a year. what do you suggest I use once that doesnt work anymore?
I wonder why your doc is treating chronic pain with short acting meds? It sounds like you need an extended release medication. MS Contin, Avinza, Oxycontin, low mcg pain patch, etc. Besides, taking acetaminophen for years, is not good for the liver. Please inquire about a long lasting medication. That really is the best way to treat chronic pain.
Good luck to you.
I agree with Christine after time passes your body rids itself of the medication and it is no longer effective, at one point in time I was on a shorter acting drug and now my physician has made the transition from me being on a short acting drug to a longer acting drug and they usually prescribe (if necessary) medication for you for use for what is know as episodes of breakthrough pain, talking with your doctor will allow him to know that you no longer get the relief you need and also then as Christine mentioned their are a number of long acting options from which to chhose and try I wish you only the very best,
for me the same so you need to get -oxycodone 10/65 mg and a 20 mg bu tane pacth , it goes though your body 24 hours a day. 1 patch is good for 7 days you get 4 a month, it worked for me.tacke 1 pill a day and leave the pacth on for 7 days try it .your hyds aint doning nothing but hurting your liver if it helping ,good luck on it
