I have been taking Suboxone for 13 months, it was prescribed for chronic low back pain. Suboxone is not controling the pain as well as it did when I first started, that is why my Dr. started me on Nucynta.
you can try it put I doubt it will work as the buprenorphine that your taking will block it..Here is part of an article that I found..
Tapentadol (trade name Nucynta) is a centrally-acting analgesic with a dual mode of action as an agonist at the μ-opioid receptor and as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It is considered to have a potency between tramadol and morphine.. Tapentadol is a new molecular entity that is structurally similar to tramadol (Ultram).
