I was in a dual diagnosis rehab and was prescriped Lithium for bipolar disorder. I am happy with the results so far, however I was only given a prescription for a 30 day supply and I have no insurance and do not have a doctor or psychiatrist. How can I get another prescription without having to pay a doctor simply to write me a prescription
I would call the rehab clinic and tell them your situation. You should not just stop taking lithium. You can have side effects. I am on lithium also and my doctor told me if I stopped it and started it again, it may not work as well. The rehab clinic knows this and should be sure you can get refills since they prescribed it to you in the beginning. Take Care and become my friend if you want to ask me anything on lithium. Thanks.
