I was given seven days continuous treatment (cladribine) for hairy cell leukemia intravenously nine months ago. Could anyone please tell what are the long term affects
My sister had IV Cladribine for hairy cell leukemia about 20 years ago in England. It was her second chemo. She was diagnosed in 1981 and is now 70. She has done very well. She had a splenectomy so is prone to infections if not careful. She has developed certain allergies to foods and insect bites in the last 4 years. She takes a maintenace dose of antibiotics. She is still in remission. She occasionally tests positive for diabetes which could be a long term side effect of the Cladribine. I am investigating that line. Anne BR
