taking this medication would cause me to loose my license?
Yes, you can.-
Gabapentin may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Gabapentin with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.
Each person reacts differently to this medication like with others. I have happily no drowsiness or excessive fatigue on 3600 mg a day (which is the top dose). I take it for neurpathic pain.
I'd try it and see how you react before you drive. And do try it for a few days or a week so your body has a chance to get used to it, and then judge your reaction.
This med has been good to me, and I hope that is the case for you too.
