Have severe elbow damage too. now I have aches in my shoulders and it hurts like hell. can anyone tell me does it all hurt in relations to the carpel tunnel?
Have you been checked for Fibromyalgia yet? Shoulder pain (in the deltoid muscles) is typically one of the first signs of fibro. Ask your doc to test you for it, there are medications to help with pain IF you do in fact have fibro.
Mine started with carpal tunnel, cubit tunnel, and shoulder pain as well.
Just a thought, and I hope you don't have it.
People with more knowledge than I will answer your question soon, so hang in there!
All the best to you,
If you were diaganosed in 2006 apparently you did not have the surgical fix? Do you were the braces at night? Your nerves & ligaments go all the way up your arms & shoulders, so if this condition was diagnosed 5 years ago, if would cause pain in the arms & shoulders. But as my friend Sweetlemon said , you could have developed fibromyalgia as a result of the carpel tunnel. It is uslually caused by a traumatic event of pain in someones, life be it physical or otherwise. This could be a new diagnosis for you too. Are you constantly on a keyboard? This will not help carpel tunnel syndrome.Just my thoughts...
I'm in my 40s and my husband in 50s. We both got shoulder pain this year. I think mine was rotary cuff problems but he has a frozen shoulder that's what his physiotherapist thinks. He is waiting to see a orthopedic. I would see physio first, they are really knowledgeble. Good luck!
