i read that you can use the clear transederm patch over it but it says dont cover them with a bandaid i find putting a large banaide works best does anyone know if covering the patch with the banaide will affect the way the patch works will it lesson the effect?
Hi galleria, my name is brent, and I was on the fetanyl patch for quite some time, and towards the end of my treatment, I discovered a little trick that worked quite well. All I did was, after I took a shower, and dried the application area real well, I would take a cotton pad, put some "rubbing" alcohol or isopropyl alcohol, same thing, on the area I was using, cleaned the area real well, and then took a kleenex, or something like that, and dried off all the alcohol. I came to the conclusion, that it was all the oil on my skin that was keeping it from sticking well, and well, this seemed to work out really well for me. If You decide to try it, I do hope that it works well for You too. Good luck galleria.
Hi Galleria I was on the patch for awhile too ( HATED IT) but anyway I found that if you use medical tape--wide medical tape that that sucker will stay on until YOU rip it off! Hope this helps but seriously my advice to you is get off that patch! Because sooner or later you will have to and withdrawal is a bitch!! Even with narcs to help you wean down! Just my thoughts but I wish you luck and if there is anything else I can help you with feel free...
