Otherwise, I'd rather suffer for another 24 hours; that being said it was only my second time in life I used a Suboxone.
I typed you a nice long response and my phone ate it. Dear Curious, welcome to the site. At this point, your pain meds will likely work again however i wanted to offer some advice. If you are running out of yourbpain meds and are taking suboxone as a stop gap measure, please please don't do that. Talk to your dr about switching you to a longer acting medication. Suboxone can be used for pain, but NO ONE should jump back and forth, for several reasons. Number one is, that you will inadvertantly cause your opiate tolerance to rise. Suboxone is a powerful medication, and properly taken, a Godsend for most people, me included. But it was not designed as a stop gap med for those whose opiate tolerance is rising and they run out of pain meds. Please look up suboxone in wikipedia.org to see how strong it says it is compared to morphine. I know you don't know me at all, i don't judge people and realize they sometimes do things out of desparation because a "friend" loaned, or sold them some magic suboxone. I just want everyone safe and confortable. Patti
