I just got out of the hospital and have a huge hospital bill. I need help in getting my medicine. My Ambilify is 60.00 for 2 weeks supply and we need our money for food and rent as well as other doctor bills owed. Does any one have any ideas. This medicine cost is after my insurance is taken out. Where can I get this medicine cheaper?
Here are a few ideas I always give people regarding medication costs. First, ask your doctor or the hospital where you got the prescription if they have a program that helps people pay for their medications when they can't afford them. I work at a Catholic hospital that has a fund that employs can donate money to for patients to use when they can't afford their meds. Second, Ask you pharmacist if he/she knows of any such programs OR if he/she knows if the manufacturer offers assistance to people to pay for the medication. Finally, contact your local MHMR and see if they can help you or if they know of any county programs that will assits you. I hope this helps. Good luck and God bless.
