... better for both of us
I do not know a lot about treatment for narcolepsy, but I do take Vyvanse. And I DON'T have ADHD. I take it to help give me energy and focus to help with my depression. It'd definitely be worth it to ask your doctor about it. I can imagine if Adderall helps you, Vyvanse could possibly work just as well.
Good luck! (And maybe let us know what the doc says? If you don't mind.)
I am never able to sleep when I'm supposed to. I've tried everything and am now trying belsomra to sleep at night. It seems to help put me to sleep within 20 minutes, which is a miracle! And I sleep completely soundly for 5-ish hours. Maybe 6 if I'm very lucky. Otherwise, I could sleep on & off all day. I lack motivation for any and everything.
I was on the max dose of Ritalin before switching to adderall to wake me up and get some stamina. Ritalin did not help.
Now I've been on two different generic versions of adderall since it was prescribed. The first was white & oval & small & just called "amphetamine salts". I got it at Costco (you do not need to be a member to use their pharmacy, but you can only pay cash, check, or American Express!) costco is AMAZINGLY CHEAP! I had 1 rx that cost me $400/month at Walgreens & $26 at Costco!!! Anyhow, Costco's worked great.
Now I'm on a state subsidized medical program & Costco doesn't work with them. So I'm back at Walgreens, paying nothing.
Anyhow, Walgreens has a red generic: "D-Amphetemine Salt Combo" -imprinted b/974 30. I can only take HALF of this generic, it makes me hyper to the point I'm shaking!
This isn't the only medication I'm sensitive to different generics to either! I have panic disorder & tried 3 different generics before I found Taro was the ONLY generic that worked!
So maybe try other brands before upping to vyvance?
